Regulations
FENSA was set-up by the Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF), in response to the new Building regulations for England and Wales. Any
replacement glazing that has been installed after April 2002 will have
to be certified – either by a FENSA registered company or by local
authority, ensuring all installations meet the required standard. FENSA sample the work of installers by appointing inspectors, to ensure standards are maintained. BWC became a FENSA registered company in 2002, when the scheme was first introduced.

The
Federation was formed to ensure that the standard of product and
workmanship offered by its members is of the highest standard and to
give independent advice to the customer of its members companies.
Members
of the Federation are selected from companies, large and small, that
provide domestic, commercial and industrial customers with replacement
window, door and conservatory installations of consistently superior
quality. Federation members follow a
code of installation practice that requires installations to be carried
out with the minimum of disturbance, and in compliance with the
Federation’s standard of excellence. |
